Daemon Tools has been updated rendering this tutorial obsolete, though it does still contain information that is useful still.

The new Daemon tools automatically offers os integration.

I tried this and liked it alot. However there were some image formats I had that it could not handle, so I went back to daemon tools. I haren't ever mount images now a days since most games I play are on steam.
