Dear CouchAthletics Community,

We, the CouchAthletics.com Staff, are always committed to trying to give you the best gaming experience we possibly can. We work to keep improving our offerings to you, the gamers, and as such we have recently re-organized our administrative team on our first person shooter based content servers to help better serve the community.

With this in mind, I would like to present you with the current layout of our administrative staff for the Content servers. These are the people you can contact if:
- Something goes wrong
- There is a server issue
- There is a problematic player
- A community rule is being broken
- You have a concern about something
- You have an idea or recommendation
- Something is on your mind, and you're not sure who to talk to about it.

We strive to provide a safe and fun place for people to enjoy gaming with one another. We have laid out general rules to act as an overall guideline for the community. The rules are the same regardless of which aspect of the community you are in. They apply on the forums, on Ventrilo or the game servers.

No Racism/Sexism/etc.:
Discrimination is not fun for anyone. We all love a little bit of hazing now and then, but know when to keep things friendly. Racism, Sexism, or other gender/etc. discrimination will ensure that your stay here at Couch Athletics is a short one.

No Douchebaggery:
Please, no dicking around, spamming music, or otherwise deliberately upsetting community members in games, forum threads, or our Ventrilo Server. If we find you trying to provoke a fight you will be warned, kicked, or (upon repeated or severe offense) banned.

No Harassment:
If you are a part of this community you are expected to realize that there is a time and place for immaturity and consequently: a time and a place to act like an adult. Don't cry to the admin like your mommy every time someone says a mean word to you. Unless it actually requires admin intervention, you don't need to notify us.

The Admin is Always Right:
Our admins are our law keepers. If you feel they judged unfairly, please feel free to send a Private Message to No-eye-deer or our community leader Patric Cole(Grap), and we will endeavor to ensure that no admin abuse is allowed. We hold our staff to the same rules as our community.

Pay Attention to Server Specifics:
This isn't so much of a rule as it is a recommendation. Different servers have different play style environment. What may be considered fair play on one server, may not on another one. Please be aware of these differences, and enjoy the servers within the guidelines of their individual rule-set.
- See Spawn Camping below

Have Fun:
All told, our community is here to ensure that people have a good time. If there's something we can do to make your stay at Couch Athletics more comfortable or fun, please don't hesitate to let us know, and we'll be glad to see what we can do for you.

Spawn Camping:
One of the main topic of discussion and controversy on the content server is that of "Spawn Camping". The basic idea is preventing opposing team players to leave the spawning area by using techniques in order to keep them confined and trapped. Here are our guidelines:

Spawn camping includes, but not limited to: (Additional scenarios may be added)
- Demoman placing stickies around a spawn door regardless of how many exists the spawn area has, and waiting for someone to walk out. Unless it is at the start of a round. See badwater final cap point, Red Spawn.
- Medic + <Class> sitting outside of spawn door, regardless of how many doors a spawn area has. See Goldrush, area two. Blue Spawn.
- Medic Uber + <Class> coming to the spawn door, and sitting there ubered waiting for people to come out. Often time this leads to point number 2. If the uber goes by spawn, kills anyone coming out of it, and continues forward without sitting by the spawn door, then this is fine. See Dustbowl area two, blue spawn.
- Sniper waiting for people to leave spawn area, when were is only one spawn door. And the sniper has a direct line of sight to the door. See Badwater, Secondary Blue spawn. Red Sniper sitting by large rocks next to checkpoint one.
- Sentry built outside of a single door spawn area. Most maps make this very hard to happen. See 2fort, interior spawn area. Blue builds sentry outside of spawn of red. For example.
- <Class> sitting outside of any spawn door, regardless of how many doors there are, waiting for anyone to come out. Regardless of spy, soldier, or whatever... If anyone is just sitting by the door. Waiting for a new target to come out of the spawn door, they are camping the spawn door. This is very frustrating when a spy with the cloak and dagger sits next to the door, and just waits for a sniper or medic, or really anyone to come out and follows them down to take them out with a backstab.

Cases where we don't consider it spawn camping:
- <Class> going by a spawn door to remove teles or chases someone there. See Goldrush, area one, red spawn.
- <Class> following someone back to their spawn, trying to finish a kill.
- Sniper keeping track of an exit where snipers are known to snipe from. See Badwater, final checkpoint, Upper Red Spawn, right exit.
- Being backstabbed by a spy who just finished taking out a sniper who was snipping.
- Being attacked by the opposite team, because a friendly sniper is standing within the spawn area snipping. See Nucleus.
- Similar the previous point, being killed because a friendly sniper is being taken out by the opposite team, because snipers like standing near the spawn doors.
