The testing was done with 0/0 air units, no micro.

Corruptors Win: 1:1, 3:4, 2:3
Toss-Up: 3:5 (450/300/6 vs. 500/500/10)
Mutas Win: 1:2, 2:4, 3:6
Advantage: Corruptors by a large margin. Both corruptors and mutalisks do very little damage to each other, but corruptors have over twice the HP.

Corruptors Win: Anything with more corruptors than vikings
Toss-Up: 1:1 (150/100/2 vs. 150/75/2), 2:2, 3:3 etc.
Vikings Win: Anything with more vikings than corrputors
Advantage: Vikings are cheaper and "equal" to a corruptor, but this is a MUCH smaller margin of victory than most people realize. The real reason vikings win is micro, they are long ranged and more maneuverable than corruptors. In real games you will NOT be able to fight vikings with equal numbers of corruptors.

Corruptors Win: 1:1, 2:2, 3:3, 4:4
Toss-Up: 4:5 (600/400/8 vs. 750/500/10)
Phoenixes Win: 1:2, 2:3, 3:4
Advantage: Corruptors, although this is also a much slimmer margin than you'd think. In a real game, phoenixes are so fast you will never be able to catch them with corruptors.

Corruptors Win: 3:1, 5:2, 6:3
Toss-Up: 4:2 (600/400/8 vs. 500/300/6)
Voidrays Win: 2:1, 3:2, 5:3
Advantage: Voidrays win handily, but as the battles get larger the voidrays do worse. This is because corruptors start killing voidrays before they get fully charged. On the other hand, if voidrays can hit an extractor and get charged, corruptors don't stand a chance.

Mutalisks Win: 2:1, 3:2, 4:3, 5:4, 6:5, 8:6
Toss-Up: 7:6 (700/700/14 vs. 900/450/12)
Vikings Win: 1:1, 2:2, 3:3, 4:4, 5:5, 6:6
Advantage: Vikings win by a very slight margin. Since a zerg can commit 100% of his economy to mutas, while a terran can't commit to vikings, this means that vikings lose in practice.

Mutalisks Win: 3:1, 5:2, 6:3, 8:4
Toss-Up: 4:2, 5:3, 7:4 (700/700/14 vs. 600/400/8)
Phoenixes Win: 2:1, 3:2, 4:3, 6:4
Advantage: Phoenixes were designed specifically to kill mutas and they are good at it. Unmicroed you need just over 1 phoenix for every 2 mutas, with micro you can do better.

Mutalisks Win: 3:1, 5:2, 6:3, 8:4, 10:5
Toss-Up: 9:5 (900/900/18 vs. 1250/750/15)
Voidrays Win: 2:1, 4:2, 5:3, 7:4, 8:5
Advantage: Neither. Despite the common myth that mutalisks destroy voidrays, the truth is that they are incredibly evenly matched. If your opponent outmacros you, his mass voidrays CAN kill your mass mutas. (or vice versa)

one of the best posts.

i can't believe how often i find that zerg doesnt go air, when mutas are actually a really strong unit. based on the fact that most people base their game around dealing with the immense amount of ground presence that zerg can bring. a well hidden spire and quick group of air could really whipe out an economy.

i think that more zerg should impliment this strategy vs protoss first and foremost. and zerg. increasingly more i would recommend it versus terran, since i've started to really see marauders being pumped out over marines. you really would only have to worry about a 1/1/1 build, get a few corruptors. you'd be solid imo.
