View Full Version : Silly Business/WiC - December 5 - cp_tiplevarg

This week, we'll be completing our trilogy of mirrored map events with cp_tiplevarg!
We have a few options:
a) Regular WiC
b) WiC variant: Teams are picked, then everybody starts on scout. Each time you die, you must change to the next class down the list, so scout->soldier...->spy->scout, etc.
c) Silly Business - maybe something like option B and things like it.

Regular WiC > WiC variant > Anything else > Silly Business

I dunno about this...

I dislike anyone that votes for silly anything ever.

That was not fun. :C

Yeah that wasn't as awesome as I thought it could have been.

People seemed pretty split on this one. From listening in ventrilo, it seemed like maybe half of the people there liked it and half din't find it very fun.
Any other suggestions/feedback? Do you think that, with changes, this could be an interesting thing to do in the future, or should we ditch it?

This needs a plugin in order to work. I forgot to change classes multiple times, and even then it seemed like the team with the best Scouts just rolled everyone else. If it was an even match, the first team to die enough to get to Heavy/Medic won.

Didn't have fun. Regardless of if a plug-in existed for this event I would not choose to attend again.

To me it seemed a cool idea in theory, but when put into practice, the issues became overwhelmingly apparent. There's just no balance at all, so it makes for a boring, uneventful game.

Alright, looks like this isn't too much fun to play in practice. I may be experimenting with other variations in the future, and am open to suggestions.

Hard to tell how the game mode really played out since the teams were quite imbalanced. It was fun for us but there was not much of a challenge to win :/
