Flashed Fridays : The Zombie Equality edition
|Brothers, take up arms, legs and any other bits which hast fallen from thine body, we march for the glory of our twice fallen comrades. Too long have we been the fodder and antagonists, too long the patsies, the maligned.
Now, it's OUR turn.
Infectonator! World Dominator! Lead your undead hordes and blacken the Earth, leave no man or woman alive, and no car unexploded. Feast on thy enemy, and when they rise again, embrace them as thy brother.
Flashed Fridays : The keep doing that and you're going to get hairy palms, edition
|This game is messed up. In Cream Wolf you have a multiphase mission, fatten kids up and make them ice cream addicts, then lure them back to your lair, and eat them.
While this may seem horrible, detestable, and just plain wrong, I would like to inform you that our own No-eye-deer submitted this, so it wasn't my idea! As the graphics look like something out of the Atari era and the main portion of the game plays like Pac-Man, it doesn't feel terrible, the little sprites you're feeding and eating don't look like children.
Steamin Up the Track : Steam UI Beta Available
|Live today is a public beta of the latest Steam user interface. All users are welcome to opt in and give it the multi-million player shakedown and the billions of minutes of use monthly (stats per Steam).
With this new UI come a plethora of bug fixes, new features, and a sleek face-lift to the well known but old green scheme.
Not sure you should change? Neither was I until I changed over and beheld it's glorious beauty, but you don't have to take that risk, hit the jump for some tasty tidbits and screen shots.
Flashed Fridays : The technology is your friend, honest...
|
This week we have an exciting entry from our own Greg "the Grogster" Hughes. This particular title is Blosics 2 which makes me very happy as I nearly put the original up a few months back, and would have had it been a more complete game, like say, Blosics 2.
After the jump I'll explain little about this sweet little title, but wouldn't be too upset if you loaded it in the background.
Flashed Fridays : I'm gonna be rich! HA HA HA HA!
|
This weeks exciting adventure takes us deep into the Earth, penetrating her for her secret treasure, slamming through any barriers we may find to constantly deeper depths and ever greater rewards, until finally culminating in her crushing depths.
Flashed Fridays : The Flying Rodent Edition
|This week's nutty offering come courtesy of Ninja, who usually only interacts with the squirrel in his pants. Like other games of it's variety, (penguin toss, or what have you) the goal of Fly Squirrel Fly to get your furry fluttering friend as far as feasible. You're aided in this venture by upgrades which allow rockets, parachutes, and pumping of wings to be added or strengthened. It's not a very complicated game and relies a large part on luck (will the caveman tap that ass, allowing a further launch?).
That being said it is well made and a pleasurable way to pass a few spare minutes, it even saves your upgrades and scores between sessions, meaning you can work your soaring squirrel to ever greater heights at your convenience. Screens after the jump.
Flashed Fridays : Running over kids in a minivan edition
|OK, some ancestry confused, Mexican-Albanian or something guy gave me this duo, oh that's right, calls himself Albexican, that was it. Anyway, he submitted the following, Punk-o-matic 2, and it's predecessor. In this little number you get to make music using prerecorded riffs and what not, guitar, bass and drums. In the second one, you also get to use manual tabs (I think you could in the first one too but I didn't really do the first one) add another guitarist, and then take your songs, plus some covers, out to play shows with a guitar hero/Rockbandesque play style, allowing for two players to share a keyboard and jam together. More after the jump.
Flashed Fridays : Quality, Service, Cleanliness and Value Edition

Seeing as it's approximately lunch time and EVERYBODY just LOVES McDonald's, this is the perfect time to use a submission from a reader if this isn't your submission, fear not! They all get used, but mostly in order (unless something current news/gaming relevant is brought to my attention).
Flashed Fridays : The Man I Loved This Game Under a Different Name, Edition
|OK I remember playing Advance Wars on the GBA in later years of high school with a really good buddy of mine, we'd pass it back and forth in the car or in class, taking turns and handing out expletives and ass kickery. This is like that, IN FLASH.
Flashed Fridays : Nick's gonna love this edition
|Well now, do you need more custom items for Dragon Age: Origins? A new hat? Maybe some elemental resist? Maybe something to hawk at the nearest vendor (this may not work)?
Well Flashed Fridays has got your back. EA may have had something to do with it as well, or more specifically, EA2D. With Dragon Age Journeys. It's a top down dungeon crawl with leveling, gear changing, talents and turn based combat. Oh, and achievements that can get you in game items (linked through your EA account). Note: Image Quality has suffered due to game being TWICE the size of the images posted. More after the jump.
