Back in my Day: Choplifter
|
No one can ever say that music hasn't inspired someone to do something. After jamming out with Jay Sean and Sean Paul's "Do You Remember?" song, I decided to remember the past - all the way back to 1982 when Choplifter was released for the Apple II. Now, I wasn't born then, but that doesn't mean I didn't experience the fun of Choplifter. It wasn't until I was five that I began my gaming endeavors on the Commodore 64. We had already owned a large collection of C-64 games, but Choplifter is one of the games that I constantly returned to over the years. After eighteen years I feel that it would be fun to do a review on such an old but yet wonderful game.
Review: Bayonetta
|
When I first saw this game on the internet I scoffed at it. I immediately thought the studio was just trying to use sex to sell another game without any real heart in it. Did the world need another over hyped brawler? I didn’t think so. I still wanted to check out the demo to see why it was getting so hyped and I must say I was shocked at how much fun I was having. So on launch day I grabbed a copy to play through. Did it offer anything extra or was it just an extended demo of over-sexed angel killings? Hit the jump to find out.
Australia Needs to Change
|This is getting to the point of severe frustration. Rebellion is remaking Aliens vs Predator. A game that was a multiplayer riot back in its prime. For all their hard work they're handed with a big steaming pile or "refused classification" by Australia's Classification Board.
Bayonetta Demo Drops Next Week
|Apparently there was an early access demo for PS3 and 360 users in North America that I missed out on, but the demo comes out next week for good. This gives the rest of the NA users a chance to give this perfect scoring game a taste before the January 5th release date.
Sega Does what Nintendon't
|Namely, it has a 20th anniversary today! On this date in 1989, the Sega Gensis was released in North America. Competing directly with the only other console manufacturer at the time, Nintendo, Sega had enough staying power to keep itself alive for 20 years. During that span, it has released 3 major consoles and hundreds, if not thousands, of games.
So remember to look back to your roots and thank the company that brought us Sonic the Hedgehog all of those years ago.
