Dead Space 2 Gets a Release Date

Along with the excellent Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Medal of Honor news, EA announced at their E3 keynote that Dead Space 2 will hit stores January 25th, 2011. Our hero Isaac returns to fight necromorphs in the sprawling city called the Sprawl, and it aims to be creepier and meaner than the extraordinary original. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the introduction of the "puker," a new enemy in the sequel, after the jump. Just... don't do it on an empty stomach.

It's Official, Dead Space 2 Will Be Coming to PC

Yes, there has been some back and forth on the subject of Dead Space 2 being released for PC since the game's announcement, but EA has made it official. Dead Space 2 will be coming to a PC near you in 2011. Hit the jump for more, and a look at the trailer.

How Different is New? - A look into emerging copycat games

When I was playing Dante’s Inferno, I was struck by a nagging concern that this was a game I had played before. After playing the demo, I had some real concerns about whether or not I would be able to fairly review a game that was so brazenly similar to a series I love. Whether or not my concerns were justified is a matter of opinion, but there seem to be an unusual number of “derivative” games released in these first few months of 2010. The real question that bothered me, that continues to bother me, is why? After the jump, I’ll lay down the facts and what I think it all means.

Dead Space 2 Dismemberment Contest Puts You in the Game

Most human beings have thought about killing someone. The rest are liars. However not everyone has thought about killing someone in a creative and gruesome way. If you happen to be one of the rare few who have, you have a chance to have your kill featured in the upcoming Dead Space 2 game.

But wait! There's more! Along with your Necromorph killing skills, your own likeness will also be featured in the highly anticipated sequel. Hit the jump to find out how to enter.

Review: Dante's Inferno

A couple times this week, when a friend would ask me what I was planning to do this weekend, I would reply, "The usual; laundry and writing my review of God of... Dante's Inferno" I simply could not help myself. To say that Dante's Inferno is similar to the God of War series is a ludicrous understatement; it's like saying a Clementine is similar to a Tangerine. While that raises some troublesome philosophical arguments - chiefly, 'how different must two games be' - the only real question that needs answering today is 'Will Dante's Inferno be worth my money?' Find out after the jump.

Visceral Games sends you to hell this February.

dante's inferno release date

Visceral Games wants you to go to hell this February.  Dante's Inferno is set to release February 9th in North America for the Xbox360, Playstation 3, and PSP in North America and the 12th in Europe.

Dante's inferno has you play through The Divine Comedy in a ridiculous attempt at video gameizing this otherwise depressing and revealing story.  Dante goes through all the layers of hell and Visceral added in their own touch by having Dante shoved up a demon's ass.
