Your Ubercharge and You Part 3 – The Other Side of Things
|As promised last week, I want to finish off this series on Ubercharges by going over the responsibilities of the person being given the Ubercharge. At first glance the goal seems simple: kill and/or destroy as many things as possible, as efficiently as possible, in the allotted 8 seconds. And in fact, it kind of is that simple. Combining the goals I’ve previously gone over for a Medic with the ones I set out in this article however, I’ll give you a new or at least refined viewpoint on what your goals as a pocket are.

Your Ubercharge And You Part 2 - The Kritzkrieg
|Your Ubercharge and You Part 2 – The Kritzkrieg
I thought that this time we’d look at the responsibilities of the heal target. However I’ve heard people request also that they would like to see some delving into the Kritzkrieg and how/when it should be used. Seeing as we last left off talking about the medic, I suppose we’ll continue with that and move right onto the Kritzkrieg leaving pocket responsibilities for next week.
What's Next For Team Fortress 2? PC Gamer Interviews Robin Walker
|After the last update for TF2, the fans are wondering where the game will go to next. PC Gamer got an interview with project lead Robin Walker for a massive two part interview with wonderful tidbits of information on future plans for TF2 and killing off any fears that the game will stop getting updates any time soon. I'm sure all your major questions will be answered by this so check out part 1 and part 2. It's well worth the read for even minor fans of the game. You just can't beat Valve's dedication to what they create.
Your Ubercharge And You Part 1 - The Medic
|It’s undoubtedly the most affecting ability in Team Fortress 2: The Ubercharge. These 10 seconds of invulnerability can break offenses, protect points, and save lives at the click of a button. Among professional and novice players it’s readily agreed upon that the Ubercharge is the most important tool for any team. So important that other classes would readily give their own lives to protect it. These seconds while a seeming flurry of activity and excitement, are also very fleeting. The fact is that in 10 seconds you have a lot that can be done but usually not enough time to accomplish it all. What I wanted to focus on today is getting the most out of an Ubercharge from the perspective of the good doctor himself.
Key Concepts - Area Denial
|I decided to write something on bigger picture strategy this week, and the very first thing I thought of was area denial. The reason it came to mind so quickly is because to me, it is both one of the most important and least understood concepts among the Team Fortress 2 community. To most people, area denial is seen in two situations: A Demoman putting sticky bombs on a wall, and sentry gun placement. The truth is however, area denial is a much more complex and interesting concept that these two situations describe. Area denial is in reality the focus of every good defense, as well as a component of every good offense.
Introducing, Couch Athletics Prop Hunt
|So, we drew straws and I got the long one, which means I get the absolute pleasure of announcing a new feature offered to the Couch Athletics Team Fortress 2 community. Now, recently with the release of Starcraft 2 we've added a few new events and a new forum not to mention Thursday Night Gaming Shuffle which has been helping gamers on a budget play events and new games with CA for the past few weeks now. But today I get to introduce something super awesome to the TF2 community that some members feel we neglect. Ladies and Gentlemen and Smizmars, to you I present, Couch Athletics Official PropHunt server.
Invisible Walls That Divide Us
|Think about the best player you’ve encountered. What separates the two of you? What makes him the better player? The first answer you'll probably come to is that they play more than you or are more experienced. But isn't that really just a cop-out? Surely there has to be more than that. If it were true, then there would be a larger correlation between skill and play time. So what is it really? What are the elements that make a player better?
Engineer Update is Live!
|It's live! After the trials and tribulations of the Golden Wrenches all this week, the day has finally arrived where Engineer fans (like myself) receive their long-awaited update! New weapons, maps, and tweaks all around will make this a fun weekend, for sure.
TF2 Blog Updates, Expands TF2 Backstory
|Yes, there are slight hints at some Engineer "update-ables" in this update, but only slight. The image is taken from a 13-page comic that was released alongside the post, which opens up and clarifies even more of TF2's backstory from its beginnings around Halloween last year. Read on for some details and clarification of this update and the Golden Wrench. Wait, you haven't heard about the Golden Wrench?
