Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood price drop.
|Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood received a pretty significant price drop this morning. Gamestop has the game up for $39.99 as of an hour ago up on their website, which is $20 off the normal price. A pretty significant price drop considering the second installment of the Call of Juarez series received pretty positive reviews, with a 9 out of 10 up on Gamestop. The price drop is for both the Xbox360 and the PS3 version. The price remains the same for PC users at $49.99.
Batman: Arkham Asylum demo up on XBL and PSN!
|A demo has been released on XBL/PSN for the new Batman: Arkham Asylum game that's just about to be released. For those of you keeping track the game was supposed to be released in June and was pushed back until later this month. But if you're unsure about the game you can check it out on your favorite gaming console's live system unless your favorite gaming console happens to be a Wii, and if that's the case what are you even doing keeping up on game news? The demo is free and you can read the press release here.
Prototype, now with 20% less cost!
|
Steam is doing another one of it's sales. This time for the recently released Prototype. The game got pretty good reviews, but the PC version had some issues when it launched. It may be worth it now, I haven't followed it enough to see if they patched the broken out of it. 20% off makes the game only $39.99, which isn't bad for a new release. The sale only lasts until August 13th, so if you were thinking about grabbing it, now is the time! Source: http://store.steampowered.com/news/2715/
Tour and Interview for Global Agenda
|
To my understanding, this game (another random claim) could be a wonderful MMO for the community. It has been getting praise by gamers and other developers for its incredibly fun gameplay and drive to get a good team based FPSMMORPG on the market. BarnGamerz got a video interview with them and here it is!
Modern Warfare 2's "Prestige Edition" is extremely limited.
|
IGN is reporting that the Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 2 is extremely limited. Speaking to Community Manager Robert Bowling, the discussion focused on how Infinity Ward did not want to find the Night Vision Goggles sitting on shelves months after release, or for pretty cheap on Amazon.
New L4D Campaign. yes. Left4Dead, and NOT Left4Dead 2!
|
Valve has not lied to us, it appears. They announced today that there is a new campaign coming out for Left4Dead called Crash Course. Apparently the helicopter pilot that picked up the survivors at the end of No Mercy, but before Death Toll, was infected. Zoey, being the badass she is, killed him, causing the helicopter to crash. The focus of the 2 part campaign is going to be on Versus mode, but does include both a co-op campaign and survival element. There are also some changes to the way gameplay has been balanced. Read the entire press release below.
Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Footage
|
As most of you know, the Call of Duty franchise is known for its immersive single player campaigns AND it's multiplayer. It's a deadly combination that has made it one of the most loved franchises in gaming. Well Modern Warfare 2 is on the horizon and some multiplayer footage as been released. Customizable kill streaks? Pretty sweet if you ask me. Watch the video after the jump. One of the multiplayer perks (it would seem)got me jumping for absolute joy.
Even mexican wrestlers love Brutal Legend
|Even Mexican wrestlers love Brutal Legend. He looks enthralled and amazed. Do you think the Nature Boy Ric Flair will like it this much? I sure hope so! WHOOO! Where's Mysterio?
Digital Distribution, backwards, the Good Old Games way!
| Chris Remo over at Gamasutra sat down with Good Old Games' Managing Director Adam Oldakowski. For those of you out of the loop, Good Old Games is a digital distribution outlet that focuses on old games rather than Valve and Impulse's model of new games. The site is run by CD Projekt, the creators of our favorite boob-o-rama style RPG The Witcher. The interview, like everything on Gamasutra, is a very business and industry oriented questionaire about Oldakowski's views on the industry and his website. The interview is insightful and provides a fresh view to those of us who are sick of hearing how terrible everything is.
Borderlands Gameplay Trailer released!
|
Before it was all screenshots. Mostly of this fine picture above. Finally a video was released that shows off the art as well as what the action looks like. If I wasn't excited before I CERTAINLY am now. (Though I was excited all along anyway) It's going to be so hard to wait until October for this. Video after the break.
