Harmonix plugging RB: The Beatles on QVC
|Last night members of the development studio Harmonix famous for their Rock Band and the first two Guitar Hero games appeared on QVC the home shopping network. What were they doing there? Why, plugging their new game of course! Rock Band: The Beatles comes out in a month, though I'm not so sure the lonely insomniac housewife or the unemployed male ages 35 - 50 is necessarily the demographic they're trying to hit. If you missed last night's showing, don't fret, there's still one more airing today. You can catch them at 5pm EDT on QVC plugging their little hearts out. Of course if you don't get the beloved QVC at your home you can always watch the live feed here.
Sweet Mother of AWESOME! Mass Effect 2 E3 Trailer!
|
I loved Mass Effect. The prospect of more Mass Effect got me giddy. This trailer made me wet my pant in anticipation for it. Also, the music sounds like Nine Inch Nails, but I wasn't 100% sure. Is it NIN or original soundtrack? It was one of those games I bought but never thought I'd play. I did for a few hours, then lost my save game. I got frustrated and it just sat in my steam list for a year. A few months ago I decided I had forgot enough of the opening story it would be new to me again. So I played it and now it's one of my top 10 favorite games. Enough with that. Watch the trailer after the jump and get excited. DO IT!
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood price drop.
|Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood received a pretty significant price drop this morning. Gamestop has the game up for $39.99 as of an hour ago up on their website, which is $20 off the normal price. A pretty significant price drop considering the second installment of the Call of Juarez series received pretty positive reviews, with a 9 out of 10 up on Gamestop. The price drop is for both the Xbox360 and the PS3 version. The price remains the same for PC users at $49.99.
Batman: Arkham Asylum demo up on XBL and PSN!
|A demo has been released on XBL/PSN for the new Batman: Arkham Asylum game that's just about to be released. For those of you keeping track the game was supposed to be released in June and was pushed back until later this month. But if you're unsure about the game you can check it out on your favorite gaming console's live system unless your favorite gaming console happens to be a Wii, and if that's the case what are you even doing keeping up on game news? The demo is free and you can read the press release here.
Your Xbox now accepts payments via Paypal
|
So I signed up for this twitter thing, and I wasn't sure why. However, just a bit ago Major nelson tweeted (God I feel lame saying that word) that the 360 marketplace will now be accepting Paypal as a method of payment! That means that all of the money you guys donate to us is going RIGHT into custom clothing for my avatar.
Modern Warfare 2's "Prestige Edition" is extremely limited.
|
IGN is reporting that the Prestige Edition of Modern Warfare 2 is extremely limited. Speaking to Community Manager Robert Bowling, the discussion focused on how Infinity Ward did not want to find the Night Vision Goggles sitting on shelves months after release, or for pretty cheap on Amazon.

Go Gamer 48 hour sale going until Wednesday, dirt cheap games that are cheap for a reason.
|If you're anything like me you're always looking for a cheap way to build up your games collection. Usually I rely on Steam for that but this week Go Gamer is having a 48 hour sale that runs until Wednesday for some reason and they've got all sorts of crappy games up for dirt cheap. All games under $10 but many of them under $5 which is pretty incredible. So if you're looking for very mediocre entertainment on the cheap, look no further.
Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer Footage
|
As most of you know, the Call of Duty franchise is known for its immersive single player campaigns AND it's multiplayer. It's a deadly combination that has made it one of the most loved franchises in gaming. Well Modern Warfare 2 is on the horizon and some multiplayer footage as been released. Customizable kill streaks? Pretty sweet if you ask me. Watch the video after the jump. One of the multiplayer perks (it would seem)got me jumping for absolute joy.
