Top 5 Disturbing Moments in Game

The word "disturbing" can be used to describe many things. Whether it be sadness, fear, shock or disgust, I generally only use the term when it's describing something that has left an impact on me for longer than the event itself. I'm sure most of us can agree that disturbing moments can be found in many games released throughout the last 20 years, and this is a list of those which have stuck with me to this very day. Hit the jump for the five most disturbing moments I've experienced in a video game.

Mod Madness - Resident Evil 5 Weapons

One of the best things about PC gaming is the ability to customize several aspects of your favourite games. This article is dedicated to that very practice. Each week, I'll feature mods from a specific game, and you can rest easy knowing that each one of them was tested thoroughly by yours truly. Want to see mods for a particular game? Can't get enough of a mod I haven't featured? Let me know in the comments section.

In the last installment of Mod Madness - Resident Evil 5, we swapped out Chris for Wesker, gave Sheva a kickass new look and made the gameplay several times more exciting. However, even with all of that, we're still shooting with vanilla weapons, and since the Resident Evil franchise has transformed from a thriller series to more of an action game, the weapons are where it's at. Below the jump you'll find my three favorite weapon reskins for Resident Evil 5.

Resident Evil 5 has taken more hours of my life than almost any other game I've played. Between the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the game, playing through the storyline with several different friends, and yes, even some achievement whoring, the only thing left to do was mod it. Hit the jump for my 3 favorite Resident Evil 5 mods, and a video of me getting frightened by a game I've played over 50 times.

Resident Evil 5's Next DLC Pack Released!

Capcom released it's latest batch of DLC for 2009's co-op action-horror hit, Resident Evil 5, with "Desperate Escape" on the PS3 & Xbox 360 for $5 or 400 Microsoft space points.  Unlike the last offering, "Lost In Nightmares," this scenario takes place during the events of Resident Evil 5, detailing Jill Valentine & Josh Stone's story right after Jill is rescued by Chris.  In addition, more characters for "Mercenaries Reunion" come with this DLC pack letting players assume the role of Resident Evil 0 star Rebecca Chambers in addition to Josh.  For $5, this pack sounds well worth it.

Resident Evil 5: Lost In Nightmares DLC Review

Resident Evil 5 was one of my favorite games of 2009, and there is no denying that. With its strong gameplay foundation established in Resident Evil 4 and addition of co-op gameplay, there's no question that I was going to like it. Now that almost a year has passed and it's rarely played anymore, Capcom was nice enough to give us some cheap DLC. Does it maintain that Resident Evil feel? Press on to find out!

Top Games of 2009: Tino Edition

Every year I keep telling myself, "You're going to keep track of all the games you played over the course of the year" for novelty purposes. And as always, every single year I fail to make that list. 2009 was no exception. One thing is for sure though, I had a great time gaming this year. It was the first year to see a consistently full release schedule from beginning til end as opposed to the usual lull in Q1 gaming and that has made a big impact on 2010's release schedule. However a few games really stood out for me and I have fond memories of time spent with them. So I invite you, stay and read for a while.

Nickles and Dimes: Are we being shortchanged on content?

There seems to be a growing trend in gaming, where developers or publishers see fit to keep back parts of games, only to charge us for them later. We are turning into the culture of the immediate. Thanks to the Internet culture, companies and people see fit to provide content quickly and efficiently. This has let a new phenomenon come to gaming. Of course, I'm talking about being nickeled and dimed to death.
