Review: StarCraft II

Korea, meet your new pastime. Blizzard was tired of seeing a decade-old game broadcast on television all over the country, so they did what no one ever expected: make another. Yes, StarCraft II continues the long-standing legacy of the original RTS, maintaining its true form and balance while updating all else: mechanics, visuals, interface, and storytelling. It keeps your nostalgia while pulling you into the new age of the series and real-time strategy in general.

Aperture Science announces Portal 2 Delay

Today, Valve and Aperture are "missing an historic opportunity to create the first product delay press release to mention that a product is being delayed to make it worse" with the announcement that Portal 2, originally scheduled to be released for Christmas of this year, is being pushed back into 2011. I can't say I blame them - living up to the original Portal is going to be quite a challenge. Let's hope their fabled E3 announcement makes up for this tragic news.

Valve Cancels Portal 2 Press Event; Not Necessarily Bad News

Valve has gone too long without messing with the heads of its fans. Today, however, they delivered where they deliver best, (if you don't count their games) with another stunt in true Valve fashion. They cancelled their Portal 2 press conference and are replacing it with a "surprise". Hit the jump for the official email announcement sent to Destructoid.

Robin Walker Answers Questions from KritzKast

KritzKast Robin Walker Interview

Robin Walker took the time to do an interview with the people from the Kritzkast podcast. They ask some very pointed questions, trying to pry out those bits of information we all want to know, and his answers are expectedly modest. There's still some good information there, though. You can read it all here, but feel free to read on to grab what I consider the highlights.

League of Legends coming to Mac

Half-Life 2 and it's Episodes Get Graphical Update

Half-Life 2 Coming to Macs Tomorrow

Good news Mac gaming fans (all three of you)! This week's Wednesday Steam update for Mac is the launch of Half-Life 2. No news on whether episode 1 & 2 will come with it or a Mac price point (it runs Windows users $20 right now), but it's another step towards a real functional Steam. To commemorate the release, Valve released a new take on the classic Apple 1984 trailer. Check it out after the jump.
