Couch Athletics Presents - CouchCast

This week the guys sit on the imaginary couch we all pretend to be on while recording and talk about some games they've been playing.  They also discuss wether or not Xbox is a monopoly and if games are spoiling themselves due to over saturation.  Plus a triumphant return to Ranny submitted Would you rathers.

It's the first podcast of the new year!

It's been a busy couple of weeks, a lot has been going on.  Of course we had a new year, bringing in 2010.  Also of interest was the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) which lead into a lot of interesting new gadgets we'd be experiencing in the next couple of years, a wonderful kick-off for the new year.  2009 was a big year in games, will 2010 be as big?  The guys talk about what they are looking forward to this year and what their gaming resolutions are.  As always; Trevor, Nick, Tino and Type answer listener questions and talk about what they've been playing for the past couple of weeks.

This week the boys discuss the new tf2 update and the new LoL update.  The also go over the winners of the VGA's and conmpare them to the winners of the IGA's.  Last but never least we answer listener mail which includes a hilarious Ranny (Would you Rather?) question.

All and all, it's been a great year here at CouchAthletics and we look forward to seeing you guys next year!

This week the regular cast of the Couch (Type, Trev, Nick and Tino) discuss amonst other things why they don't care at all about the DSi.  The ask for opinions on the VGAs and remind PC users of IWnet that their ISP now hates them, but they won't get the message because their still downloading this on a 56k down-throttled connection.

    This week the guys are joined by a new staff writer for CouchAthletics, Tino.    We asked you to submit what you're thankful for in gaming.  The response were solid and they came to a sort of consensus; I don't think you'll be suprised to hear what it is.  Games discussed are Left 4 Dead 2 and New Super Mario Bros. for the Wii.

     This week the guys are joined by Chris Remo, editor-at-large for Gamasutra and of the Idle Thumbs podcast/website.  They discuss a great many things as this is our longest cast yet.  Dragon Age: Origins and Torchlight take the spotlight as well as discussions on life, love and the pursuit of defining what is game.

      I completely expected a joke answer when I asked Chris a inside joke for Thumbs listeners, but turns out he came prepared and makes a final decision on what is game.

Type-ZERO here. I just wanted to let you know that there were a couple technical difficulties that poped up during the recording. Nothing major.

This week we look at Borderlands, and Infinity Ward's announcement of no dedicated servers for Modern Warfare 2.  How did we react? Take a listen and find out.

     This week the guys keep at it, but with a slight line-up change.  The man behind the recording, Type-ZERO steps up and get's his voice herd. More games, previews and a ton of L4D2 and Lego Rockband news.  As always the guys answer some listener questions and a Number's question gets in just in time!

Edit:  The Winnie Cooper jokes didn't make it into the podcast, so my joke was confusing.  This title is at least in the cast.

This week the guys talk about the recent CA meet and PAX.  Some mid cast roster changes allow for 3 different and new people on the cast this week!  Only two of us were drunk this week. New record.
