Huzzah. Another WW2 shooter.

Battlefield 1943 makes its way to Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation 3 next week for 1200 Microsoft points or $15.
The game is released with 3 playable maps and a 4th one to unlock once the global kill count reaches 43 million.

I'm not super excited about it for a few reasons.
- It's another WW2 game.
- only 24 players per game?
- What about a PC release?

For $15 though, it should be worth it.

I'm excited for the PC release in Sept. (Or so they say)
I loved BF2 and I rarely got into BF1942 because I just got a computer when BF2 release making BF1942 obsolete.

If they cut down the size of each map I don't see 24 people being to small. If the PC version gets released, I wont be surprised that a mod will be released that allows more people.

I always wanted a new BF WW2 game with upgraded graphics and I hope destructible trees and buildings.
There is just as much modern shooters like CoD clones than there is WW2 games out there so I couldn't care less if it was WW2.

I played BF 1942 a ton years ago. My computer could barely run it, but it was so enjoyable! Dogfights were difficult but exciting. Alas, however, that I can't pick this one up.

I wouldn't hate on the 24-players thing. The game rarely felt like it was shorthanded. The limited maps I can see, but there were only about 5 Pacific theater maps in the original game, too: Wake, Midway, Okinawa, Coral Sea... oh, and the Philippines (spelling!).
