Space weaponry offers so many challenges and what ifs that it is rather difficult to pick a single space weapon. Although I'm currently a bit biased by my reading of The Risen Empire and The Killing of Worlds (by Scott Westerfeld), I am a fan of high velocity microscopic projectiles, such as sand. Sand at high speeds (even just a few hundred kph) will rip things to shreds, and if we're talking the truly mind-boggling scales of your average space opera these grains of sand are probably moving at hundreds of kilometers per second, and can cause their targets to literally melt.
